We are Australian-owned, with a turnover of over $400m and 300 high-performing professionals across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Maroochydore, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Darwin.

Our diverse expertise sees us partner with clients across a range of sectors to deliver significant commercial construction projects throughout Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our Queensland team, initially working on a high-quality retirement living development in inner Brisbane.

You will take ownership of the commercial function through the remaining construction phases and final account, supported by a Contract Administrator and Cadet. This is a long-term appointment, with ongoing opportunities across our Queensland project pipeline.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced and commercially astute Senior Contract Administrator who is comfortable taking ownership of the commercial performance of a major construction project.

You will bring strong experience across subcontract administration, procurement, cost control, forecasting, variations and head contract administration, along with the ability to identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.

You’ll be a confident communicator and negotiator who builds strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and project teams, while providing guidance and mentoring to junior commercial staff.

Ideally, you will have 6+ years’ an $50M+ projects contract administration experience, preferably within the Queensland commercial construction market, and a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing head contract and subcontract administration, including claims and variations;
  • Managing project cost control, forecasting and monthly commercial reporting;
  • Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages;
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities;
  • Maintaining accurate contractual and commercial documentation;
  • Building strong relationships across the client, consultant, subcontractor and project teams; and
  • Leading and mentoring the CA and Cadet supporting the project.

These responsibilities reflect the role’s core accountability for commercial management, procurement, forecasting and leadership of the supporting CA team.
