Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our team. The Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the quality of food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the quality of food preparation and presentation
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices
  • Ensure that all food items are stored, handled, and prepared safely and hygienically
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
