Residential Private House Cleaner

Stedmans Hospitality is looking for a Residential Private House Cleaner on behalf of our client.

The Private House Cleaner will be required to maintain a large home in South Yarra and you will be required to oversee all aspects of maintaining the residence which include, cleaning, shopping and running general errands.

Key Responsibilities

Follow a cleaning schedule tailored to the family’s routine and preferences to include but not limited to:

• Meticulous cleaning of all areas inside and outside the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living spaces, bar, sauna and outdoor entertaining areas
• Manage laundry services including washing, ironing, steaming, dry cleaning and wardrobe organisation
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes, unloading/loading the dishwasher and ensuring all surfaces and appliances are spotless and well maintained
• Dust, polish, vacuum, mop and sanitise surfaces using appropriate methods for high-end finishes and materials
• Monitor household stock levels and restock as required
• Assist with grocery shopping as needed to ensure the home is well supplied
• Tend to the family pet’s hygiene needs, including regular cleaning and maintenance of the cat litter area to ensure cleanliness and odour control
• Ensure the fireplace is kept clean, presentable, and free of ash or debris, with firewood stocked and ready for use year-round
• Support setup and pack down of family gatherings or private events as required
• Report maintenance issues and oversee minor household tasks as required
• Attend holiday home for cleaning on an as needed basis, usually fortnightly
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

About You

• Previous experience in similar high-end housekeeping and cleaning role
• Deep understanding of household etiquette and confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering excellence
• Comfortable working around children and/or pets
• Professional, reliable and proactive in nature
• Ability to work independently or under light supervision
• Driver’s licence and car required
• Discreet and respectful of the family’s lifestyle and privacy
• Police Check, Working with Children Check and references required
