Speech Space is searching for a dynamic and committed Speech Pathology Team Lead to join us on a full-time basis at our paediatric Speech Pathology Clinic. The position is based in the community within our contracted Schools. The successful applicant will be required to lead and mentor our junior Speech Pathology team as well as provide intervention to school based clients. We aim to help our clients in all areas of communication including speech, language, literacy, signs, gestures and social and emotional areas.

What we’ll need from you –
Drivers licence and reliable motor vehicle to travel to various school locations
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
National Police Check
Covid 19 vaccination certificate
Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathologist) and SPA Membership
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with Allied Health Professionals, parents and educators
Ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues
Experience working with children preferred
Experience working in collaborative teams preferred
The position involves –
Providing evidence-based assessments and intervention to a mixed and diverse caseload
Providing direct and indirect intervention sessions that are individual and group based
Developing tailored therapy plans including goals and appropriate measurements
Flexibility in adapting and organisng around school based commitments
Documenting each session in our software system
Management of junior Speech Pathology team members regarding school based intervention including individual and group supervision and mentoriship
Assisting junior Speech Pathology team with case and time management and workload organisation
Liasion with school staff and coordinations around timetabling, prioritisation, assessment, funding and intervention
Providing support and feedback to clients families where appropriate
Assisting staff with time management, organisation and therapy planning
Development of therapy resources
