Team Leader – Disability Services
Full-Time, 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract | $100,000 + Super
About the Role
Are you a passionate and experienced leader in the disability sector looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our team, supporting participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and/or Individual Living Option (ILO) homes that provide 24/7 supports, and Social & Community Participation.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide leadership, development and mentoring to House Leads and Support Workers, ensuring participants are supported and encouraged to build their skills, independence and relationships. You’ll work closely with the Services and Community Engagement Lead and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.
This is a full-time position on a 2-year fixed-term contract, offering SCHADS Level 4.3 plus superannuation, based at our Head Office in Mount Lawley.
What You’ll Be Doing
– Overseeing service delivery within community and accommodation environments
– Ensuring daily supports align with each participant’s plan and goals
– Supervising, mentoring and developing House Leads and Support Workers
– Coordinating rosters and filling shift vacancies in collaboration with the Rostering team
– Monitoring participant NDIS plans, budgets and support hours
– Overseeing medication management and case note documentation
– Leading team meetings and staff training/development
– Participating in an on-call roster to provide 24/7 support as required
– Supporting a positive, safe and person-centred workplace culture
About You
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the disability industry
– Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
– Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and NDIS requirements
– Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
– Ability to engage effectively with participants, families and stakeholders
– Certificate IV in Disability/Community Services or higher
– Current Class C Driver’s Licence
– Willingness to be flexible and provide on-call support as required
Desirable:
– Current First Aid Certificate
– Understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards
– Knowledge of access and equity issues for culturally and linguistically diverse communities
