We are looking for a high calibre Project Accountant to join our team in Gepps Cross, South Australia to help lead our project accounting function. This permanent, full-time role will partner with our project and program teams to oversee budgets, forecast performance, track costs, and provide the financial insights that keep our key pursuits on track and delivering results.

What you will do:

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional who has experience in high-governance, project focused environments, enjoys a fast pace, and turning data into decisions. The role will involve:

  • Development of project budgets and forecasts, identifying financial risks and opportunities
  • Monitoring of project costs, variance management, and corrective actions support
  • Preparation of project financial reports, including performance, EAC, and profitability analysis
  • Reconciliation of contract values, project costs, risk and opportunity and revenue
  • Monitoring of contract finances and ensure compliance with relevant obligations and audits controls
  • Analysing budget-to-actual variances and recommending performance improvements
  • Partnering with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making

About you:

You’re passionate about accuracy, integrity, and making tangible impact. You have experience in working with complex projects and driving outcomes. This is a newly created role, built of the success and growth in our market, so we are looking for someone who can navigate uncertainty, implement structure, build strong working relationships, and ensure our projects have detailed financial oversight.

You will have:

  • A qualification in finance, accounting or project management
  • Experience as a Project Accountant, ideally in Defence, product development, and/or manufacturing industries
  • Experience in or knowledge of other finance disciplines, such as corporate, project planning and controls, or earned value management

Ideally, you will have an existing AGSVA Baseline clearance or above, or at least the ability to obtain one.
