About The Role:

The Disability Support Worker provides direct support to NDIS participants in line with their individual goals, support plans, and NDIS Practice Standards. The role promotes independence, skill development, safety, dignity, and improved quality of life for every participant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support participants to attend appointments, social events, work, education, and community programs.
  • Complete progress notes, incident reports, and required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support staff.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, promoting their independence and self-esteem.

We’re Looking For:

Compassionate and proactive individuals with excellent communication skills who are reliable, dynamic and passionate about working in the NDIS sector.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in disability, aged care, community services, or a related field.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services (or working toward).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (Employee), First Aid & CPR certification, National Criminal History Check.
  • Valid (Australian) driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.

Desirable:

  • Training in mental health, trauma‑informed practice, or behaviour support.
  • Knowledge of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements.
