About The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll play a pivotal role in improving quality of life for participants by delivering high‑quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), reducing restrictive practices, and building capability across support networks. This is a rewarding role with significant clinical scope and genuine career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop high‑quality, least‑restrictive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Provide coaching and training to families, carers, and support teams
  • Lead complex cases requiring strong clinical reasoning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals
  • Monitor progress, analyse behavioural data, and complete required reporting
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work, OT, Speech Pathology, Special Education, ABA, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience completing FBAs and developing PBS‑aligned BSPs
  • Registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Strong understanding of restrictive practices and NDIS compliance
  • Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and current driver’s licence

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience supporting people with complex needs, trauma histories, or dual diagnoses
  • Experience delivering training or capacity‑building workshops

This is an autonomous role where you will need the willingness and ability to travel throughout Metropolitan Melbourne.
