Description

Own a national property portfolio at executive level – with the trust, scope and access to prove you’re a strategic leader, not just a manager.

Sentinel Property Group is a national property investment and funds management group, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail assets across Australia. We take a hands-on, performance-driven approach to property management and we back the people who run it.

As National Portfolio Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of the national portfolio’s performance. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Management, you’ll be trusted to lead a team, drive financial and operational outcomes, and act as the subject matter expert the business turns to for answers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Take full ownership of the national portfolio’s performance, acting as the subject matter expert across property and facilities management.
  • Run the end-of-month process, reforecasting, budget preparation, wash-up reviews, breach notices and arrears management with precision.
  • Deliver clear, timely arrears and performance reporting to the Head of Property Management, so decisions are made on facts, not guesswork.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the property management team, setting the standard for a high-performing, accountable culture.
  • Partner with the leasing team to identify income opportunities and shape the portfolio’s leasing strategy.
  • Review Capex projects, represent the department at weekly management meetings, and keep continuous improvement front of mind.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience managing a commercial, industrial and/or retail portfolio at a senior level.
  • Strong financial acumen across budgeting, reforecasting, arrears and end-of-month processes.
  • A confident leader who can manage a team and hold your own with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Sharp attention to detail, sound judgement, and a genuine ‘can-do’ approach to problem-solving.
  • A current Real Estate Salesperson Licence and tertiary qualifications in Real Estate or Property Economics are highly regarded, but not essential.

This is a role for someone ready to operate at an executive level, be trusted with real scope, and make a visible difference to how the portfolio performs. If that’s you, we’d like to hear from you.
