Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective transport and service delivery as required for the organisation
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Objectives:

  • Deliver effective and efficient transport services for the organisation and stakeholders in consultation with team leaders.
  • Participate in group activities when requested by the service Team Leaders
  • Work with the organisation to build a strong integrated team approach to transport operations and service delivery.
  • Comply with WHS requirements to ensure the safety of both the drivers and clients.
  • Comply with the transport operational and safety processes of Riverwood Community Centre.
  • Maintain all licenses required to perform the role.
  • Organisation wide responsibility

  • Monitor and report to the Team Leader issues in relation to vehicles or service delivery
  • Ensuring good communication with staff, clients and stakeholders and reporting to the Team Leader as required
  • Perform your duties in line with the expected team member conduct to create and contribute to a harmonious and effective workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and safe work practices of Riverwood Community Centre
  • SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive any company vehicle economically and carefully in accordance with relevant road laws and Company policies and procedures.
  • Out of School Hours runs to/from local schools and the centre.
  • Home pick up and transport to aged service programs held at the centre and in the community.
  • Set up and participate in aged services groups. Support the Aged Services Team in service delivery, activities and tasks assigned.
  • Treat all staff, clients and the public with dignity and respect.
  • Report all repair and maintenance issues to the Team Leader immediately, completing accident claim forms promptly.
  • Daily Inspection report & daily log to be completed and handed to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure all mobility devices are secured prior to driving.
  • Familiarise and make further recommendations to daily routes.
  • Be clean and tidy displaying a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Report any matters relevant to the currency of the driving licence. If charged with a criminal or civil offence, report all details to the Team Leader.
  • Maintain the vehicles in clean, hyphenic and safe operating conditions.
  • Responsible for all At-fault accidents and excess may be recovered as per mutual understanding.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Participate in regular driver’s meetings with the Team Leader
  • Participate in training programs where appropriate.
