Main Duties / Responsibilities:
The Site Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of construction projects from demolition to handover. This includes full site control, day-to-day management of trades and suppliers, and proactive resolution of site-based issues. The Site Manager also supports the CA, PM, and CM in client and consultant management.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction Phase
– Support the CA in delivering all early site establishment scopes, including:
– Dilapidation reports
– Demolition coordination
– Electrical pit works
– Sewer tie relocations
– Footing probes and tree removals
– Site set-up and safety compliance
– Frame, Window, Structural Steel & Cabinetry Shop Drawings & Detailing
Construction Phase
– Drive the project schedule in conjunction with the Construction Manager and CA, managing the Gantt program on-site
– Coordinate and manage daily works for all subcontractors and suppliers
– Conduct and document trade scope reviews to ensure relevance and accuracy for site conditions
– Ensure all Riser QA Checkpoints are completed, signed, and documented at critical stages
– Chair site-based QS walk-throughs and facilitate on-site PCG inspections
– Resolve site-related challenges proactively and escalate blockers to the PM/CM as required
– Assist with consultant and client management
Key Responsibilities:
Client Liason
– Support the CA and CM in managing client expectations through site walk-throughs and program updates
– Flag and communicate site-level risks or delays that may impact client delivery or satisfaction
Handover & Completion
– Lead the Practical Completion (PC) walk-through with the client and document all defects clearly
– Drive rectification works in a timely and high-quality manner, maintaining clear records of progress
– Coordinate with the CA to ensure all handover documentation (manuals, certificates, OP, etc.) is complete and accurate
– Deliver a clean, defect-free project and a positive final impression of Riser at handover
Occupational Health & Safety
– Conduct daily site inspections and identify hazards, PPE compliance and verify high risk activities follow approved SWMS
– Ensure all workers and inducted onto site via OH&S software QR code sign in
– Respond to all safety incidents or near misses, conduct investigations and report appropriately
– Ensure all safety documentation is current and accessible, including SWMS, site specific risk assessments, incident registers, plant & equipment register and daily pre-start checklists
– Conduct weekly OH&S audit for every site, every week via OH&S software
