Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is a key position in the Hospitality and Tourism industry responsible for supervising and managing the housekeeping staff to ensure that guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are clean and well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day supervision of the housekeeping team
- Drive the productivity, motivation and development of all Housekeeping Team Members
- Thoroughly train the Housekeeping Team
- Ensure high cleanliness and productivity standards are met and kept in accordance with company guidelines
- Organise and allocate rooms for the rostered team members on shift
- Ensure appropriate chemical safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards and practices are maintained
- Service and clean guest rooms ensuring that rooms are presented to the hotel standard.
- Monitor labour costs and productivity output according to occupancy levels while also monitoring the room cleanliness standards through daily inspections
- Monitor and manage the Inventory and stock control of linen, cleaning supplies and amenities, re-order supplies as necessary.
- Assist the General Manager with additional tasks as requested
- Have great attention to detail and take pride in what you do
- Adhere to hotel and company policies and procedures.
