Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other imaging technologies. The Radiographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other imaging technologies
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images
- Operate imaging equipment and adjust settings to obtain high-quality images
- Analyse images to ensure they are of diagnostic quality
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
- Stay up-to-date with advances in imaging technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
