Summary:

Nurse Anesthetists administer anesthesia to patients undergoing medical procedures, working closely with physicians, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer anesthesia to patients before medical procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Adjust anesthesia levels as necessary throughout the procedure
• Manage patients’ recovery after the procedure and any side effects of anesthesia
• Document patients’ medical histories and relevant information
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best treatment plan for patients
• Participate in patient education programs and counseling patients and families
• Keep up to date with changes in anesthesia techniques, medications, and medical technologies

Qualifications:

• Degree in nursing and license to practice as a registered nurse
• Additional certification in anaesthesia
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
