Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our organisation’s information systems and data from cyber threats. The Information Security Analyst will analyse security risks, implement protective measures, and respond to security incidents to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our IT assets.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse security incidents and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests, to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
• Develop, implement, and manage security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard information systems.
• Respond to and investigate security breaches, including analysing the impact, containment, and remediation efforts.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enforce security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve security practices.
• Provide guidance and support to other departments on information security issues and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance status to management.
• Conduct security awareness training for staff to promote a culture of security within the organisation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in information security or a related IT security role.
• Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and encryption solutions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address security risks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
