Kidzone Family Day Care is seeking applications for an experienced Family Day Care Coordinator to provide mentoring and support to our educators located throughout Sydney.

The role is part time offering flexibility with the possibility of becoming full time. You will ensure that the educational programs delivered by our FDC Educators are engaging and enhance children’s development and learning as outlined in the National Quality Framework. You will train and mentor family day care educators providing Education and Care in a home-based childcare environment.

About the Role

Ensuring the provision of high-quality outcomes for children and families enrolled in the service

Facilitating activities to enhance children’s experiences, including aiding the integration of new children into care, planning and participating in playgroups, and conducting evaluations.

Conducting regular visits to family daycare educators to assess the quality of childcare, evaluate care practices, and offer constructive feedback.

Undertaking recruitment and assessment of potential family daycare educators, while providing parents and educators with essential support information, advocacy, and referral services.

Actively recruiting new educators and promoting growth within the service

Inspiring and mentoring a group of educators to achieve their potential.

Monitoring adherence to National Regulations and service policies.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in children’s services FDC Co-ordinator/ Manager or in a leadership position in a centre based service.

Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place Framework, and the National Quality Framework (NQF).

Knowledge of providing an educational program, the planning cycle and providing training and assistance to educators within the service.

Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety practices, encompassing infection control and risk management.

Sound understanding of Family Daycare operations.

Highly developed communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with families and family daycare educators, formulating strategies tailored to meet their needs and interests.

Highly developed organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and complete corresponding forms and visits at a high-quality standard.

Ability to show understanding of working with CALD parents, educators and community.

Working knowledge of Harmony Systems and ComplyCare

Proficiency in Microsoft Programs

Mandatory requirements:

Approved Diploma level education and care qualification

Working With Children’s Clearance

National Police Clearance (within 6 months)

NSW Full Driver’s license

Reliable, roadworthy motor vehicle

First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis

Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel to conduct visits

Must be available Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm
