About the Role
The Library Network Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Director Library Network to develop a consistent statewide approach to public library operations. The position is closely involved with the delivery of network-wide projects and statewide programming, including major programs such as Tasmania Reads Week. The Library Network Coordinator works closely with a wide range of colleagues across the state to coordinate library operations and support consistent and efficient operations.
This position is based in Hobart but provides opportunities to travel across the state. Hobart is a great place to live for those who enjoy both easy access to stunning national parks and beaches with the conveniences of a vibrant and beautiful regional city. It has a strong cultural scene that has recently been designated a UNESCO City of Literature.

About You
We are seeking a highly organised, energetic and proactive individual who enjoys working with others and has strong interpersonal skills. Experience working in a library environment is preferred, along with a passion for developing library services that make a real difference to people’s lives.

Essential Requirements
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.
Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).
Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications relevant to business administration and finance.
