Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies that promote positive relationships between our organization and the communities we serve. The Community Engagement Officer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify community needs and develop programs and initiatives that address those needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies that promote positive relationships between our organization and the communities we serve.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify community needs and develop programs and initiatives that address those needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership.
• Plan and coordinate community events, workshops, and other activities that promote community engagement and participation.
• Develop and distribute communication materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and other outreach materials, to keep the community informed about our organization and its activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement strategies and programs, and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as community development, social work, or public administration.
• At least 3 years of experience in community engagement or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement community engagement strategies and programs.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of community development principles and practices.
• Experience working with diverse communities and understanding of cultural competency.
