Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide specialised care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including monitoring, assessment, and treatment. The Cardiac Nurse will work closely with cardiologists, healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure optimal heart health and management of cardiovascular diseases.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease, arrhythmias, and hypertension.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including intravenous therapies and cardiac medications.

Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as ECGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms.

Develop and implement individualised care plans based on patient assessments and treatment goals.

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding heart disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.

Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimise treatment outcomes.

Respond to cardiac emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Ensure compliance with established protocols, guidelines, and regulatory standards for cardiovascular care.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in cardiac nursing practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BN) or equivalent.

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.

Experience in cardiac nursing or a related field.

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.

Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
