People & Talent Coordinator
The People & Talent team partners across the business to attract, support and retain the people who power Australia’s fastest-growing business payments and rewards platform. We’re a small, hands-on team operating in a fast-moving scale-up environment, which means balancing high-growth energy with the rigour and compliance standards expected of a regulated financial services business.
Responsibilities
- Support engagement and culture initiatives suited to a fast-moving fintech environment (pulse surveys, recognition programs, culture events)
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including compliance-heavy elements common in regulated fintechs (background checks, AFSL-related requirements, security access)
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, and support benefits, wellbeing and internal events
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee records in the HRIS and prepare employment documentation (letters, contracts, variations) in line with compliance standards
- Support payroll and benefits administration with accurate, timely data
- Track compliance items critical in fintech (working rights, mandatory training, regulatory certifications) and coordinate training
- Support HRIS projects end to end — implementation, configuration and upgrades, data migration and validation, and testing of new workflows, integrations and reporting
- Document HR processes, create user guides, and support internal communications and intranet/handbook content, particularly around policy, compliance and system changes
About You
This role suits someone who is organised, detail-oriented and energised by working in a fast-paced, compliance-conscious environment.
- 2-4 years’ experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Advisor or People & Culture support role, ideally within a regulated or fast-scaling business
- Hands-on experience maintaining an HRIS, and exposure to system implementations, upgrades or data migrations (Employment Hero)
- Working knowledge of Australian employment fundamentals National Employment Standards, working rights checks and onboarding compliance
- Exposure to regulated industries (financial services or fintech) highly regarded, including familiarity with concepts like AFSL-related obligations, background checks and mandatory training tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to record-keeping and audit readiness
- Confident communicator, comfortable triaging queries and drafting clear, professional employee communications
- A proactive, hands-on approach and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- High level of discretion, judgement and integrity when handling confidential employee information
