About Us

Chiosco by Ormeggio is a vibrant Italian trattoria perched on the waterfront at The Spit, Mosman. Known for our fresh seafood, house-made pasta, relaxed atmosphere, and genuine hospitality, we offer an authentic Italian dining experience in one of Sydney’s most picturesque locations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Section Waiter to join our friendly and professional team. If you have a passion for hospitality, Italian cuisine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and reset tables to venue standards
• Confidently manage your own section during service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service
• Provide knowledgeable food and wine pairing recommendations
• Deliver warm, attentive and professional customer service
• Prepare and serve quality coffee to venue standards
• Support the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Section Waiter in a busy restaurant
• Previous experience working with Italian cuisine (preferred)
• Strong food and wine knowledge with the ability to recommend pairings
• Ability to carry three plates safely and confidently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Energetic, positive and team-oriented attitude
• Current NSW RSA Certificate (mandatory)
• Full Australian working rights with no work restrictions
• Experience using SevenRooms reservation system (advantageous)

Employment Details

• Casual position
• Approximately 25–35 hours per week
• Immediate start available for the right candidate
