Production Operator – Aluminium Fabricator

About the role:

DGA Windows is currently seeking an Aluminium Fabricator to join the team.

Responsibilities include: reading and interpreting extrusion cutting lists, cutting aluminium components, assembling window & door frames, and performing quality checks on finished products. You may also be required to set up fabricating machines.

(5am to 3pm: standard hours & overtime Mon -Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Cutting various aluminium door and window frame sections.
• Ensuring precision in measuring and cutting.
• Assembly of windows & doors
• Working with the team to increase efficiencies & reduce lead time.
• Upholding the standards of safety and quality as per company expectations
• Ensuring a safe work practice in line with company policies and procedures
• Attend daily production and general meetings, providing inputs as needed

Skills and experience required:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar fabrication role
• Proficiency in utilising tools and equipment (ie: semi-automatic and manual saws)
• Forklift Licence 
• Experience with a wide range of window and door systems
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have a sound understanding of the manufacturing and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and work off plans and job sheets from V6
• Previous experience with Alspec extrusions – preferred(not essential).
