Summary:

Norrish Earthmoving Repairs is seeking an organised Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Kalgoorlie.

This role is ideal for an experienced HD Mechanic ready to step into a leadership position, or someone already supervising who is looking for a fresh challenge. You’ll play a key role in driving workshop performance, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day workshop operations and technician activities
  • Manage jobs to ensure actual hours align with quoted work
  • Identify and report job variances, including defects, parts costs, and repair estimates
  • Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to ensure safety and quality compliance
  • Liaise with customers, providing updates and addressing repair-related queries
  • Mentor and support workshop staff and Apprentices
  • Utilise internal systems for quoting, job tracking, and reporting
  • Monitor workshop performance and suggest improvement recommendations
  • Support yard organisation, registers, and general workshop upkeep
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Role Requirements:

  • Australian recognised Engineering or Automotive Trade Certificate (or relevant trade qualification)
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment systems and repair processes
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and relevant software
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Solid computer literacy
  • A current driver’s licence (HR desirable)
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DAS
