Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

– Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

– Attention to detail and accuracy

– Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities:

– Prepare financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts

– Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

– Manage accounts payable/receivable processes

– Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

– Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities

– Provide support during audits by external auditors

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred

– Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

– Knowledge of Australian accounting standards

– Experience with MYOB or Xero software preferred

– Strong understanding of tax regulations in Australia
