Description

We are looking for two dedicated and passionate transport officers. One position is based at our Midland Site and the other at our Parmelia Site. These roles can be offered on a part time or full time basis.

The Community Transport Officer plays a vital role in enhancing the mobility and accessibility of individuals within the Midland community. This position focuses on providing safe and reliable transport services to those in need, ensuring that vulnerable populations can access essential services and participate in community activities. As a contract role, the officer will work full-time to support the social care objectives of the organisation, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage community transport services to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Assist clients with boarding and alighting from vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport schedules, client details, and service usage.
  • Collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to promote transport services and identify community needs.
  • Provide information and support to clients regarding transport options and services available.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness of transport services.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of the local area and community resources.
  • Experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
  • Compassionate and patient attitude towards clients, particularly those with mobility challenges.
