Mercy Connect is seeking an exceptional Chief People Officer (CPO) to join our Executive Team and help shape a thriving, values-driven organisation dedicated to supporting people in need to live fulfilled lives. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a People & Culture strategy, reflective of the ethos and values of Mercy Ministry Companions (MMC).
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention and succession strategies
  • Oversee performance management and employee relations
  • Drive Work Health & Safety and Psychosocial Safety systems.
  • Deliver learning and leadership development strategies which strengthen workforce capabilities.
  • Lead communications, brand and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive and Board
  • Contribute to risk, compliance and organisational performance

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably as a Chief People Officer or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in change management and organisational development.
  • Ability to analyse data and use metrics to drive HR decisions.
