About the role

This is a permanent part-time position, working four days a week.

In this role, you’ll bring together your clinical insight, research expertise and collaborative approach to help turn evidence into meaningful practice. You’ll work across projects and partnerships, supporting others to build confidence in research while contributing to stronger outcomes for people affected by cancer and the cancer nursing profession.

Key areas of focus:

• Provide administrative and research-related support for research and quality improvement projects, across the project lifespan including conceptualisation, design and development, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Provide research consultation and education to Nursing Program team members and McGrath Cancer Care Nurses, strengthening capability in research and evidence-based practice.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects progressing and milestones on track.
• Prepare accurate, clear and timely research reports for internal teams, partners and stakeholders.
• Contribute to manuscript development, abstract submission, conference presentation and other outputs that share findings and extend their impact.

What you’ll bring

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Postgraduate qualifications in research or a research-related field, such as a Master of Philosophy or Master of Research, together with demonstrated research experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a range of research methodologies and a sound understanding of analytical approaches.
• Demonstrated experience implementing evidence-based practice in healthcare environments.
• Strong project management [VB3] skills, with the ability to balance priorities and deliver within agreed standards and timeframes.
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce succinct, high-quality reports and documents.
