Mental Health Support Workers Wanted – Make Every Shift Count

Join Magnus Health: Where Your Expertise Changes Lives

At Magnus Health Pty Ltd, we’re on a mission to deliver exceptional, person-centred care to individuals with high-intensity mental health and disability support needs. We’re looking for experienced, confident Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated team across Brisbane’s North and Southside — from Mitchelton and Deception Bay to Annerley, Inala, Marsden, Logan Reserve, Meadowbrook, and Edens Landing.

If you’re passionate about mental health disability support, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to work where your skills truly matter — we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll provide tailored, high-quality support in our Specialist Independent Living (SIL) houses and during community access shifts. Rosters vary to match participant needs — including 1:1 and 1:2 ratios across 24/7 shifts.

Your day might include:

  • Delivering personalised care in line with each participant’s individual support & behaviour plans
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, medication support, and meal prep
  • Creating safe, supportive environments and proactively managing behaviours of concern
  • Engaging participants in meaningful activities that build independence, confidence, and quality of life

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for Support Workers who are not only qualified — but confident, calm under pressure, and committed to growth.

Essentials:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Proven experience in mental health or disability support

You’ll shine if you:

  • Lead with empathy, patience, and a strengths-based approach
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well within multidisciplinary teams
  • Stay reliable, adaptable, and solution-focused in fast-paced settings
  • Are passionate about making a real, measurable difference in people’s lives

Why Magnus Health?

  • Competitive casual rate: $37.95/hour + penalty rates
  • Ongoing training: Access to specialist development in high-intensity care
  • Supportive culture: Work alongside a committed, values-driven team
