Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of industrial sewing machinists and production staff.
• Plan daily production schedules to ensure customer orders and manufacturing targets are achieved.
• Monitor productivity, workflow, and labour allocation to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure all footballs meet Sherrin’s strict quality standards before progressing through production.
• Train, coach, and mentor new and existing staff in sewing techniques, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
• Conduct quality inspections and resolve production or workmanship issues.
• Coordinate with planning, printing, cutting, and finishing departments to maintain smooth production flow.
• Maintain accurate production records, KPI reporting, and attendance.
• Enforce workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised production environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience supervising a manufacturing or sewing production team.
• Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and production processes.
• Ability to manage production targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in production reporting and inventory/workflow coordination.
