    • Job Description:
    • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Machine Operator to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various steel fabrication machines, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality steel components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work well within a team.
    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Machine Operation:
    • Operate steel fabrication machines, including shears, presses, rollers, and CNC machinery.
    • Set up and adjust machines according to specifications and production requirements.
    • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
    • Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
    • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Qualifications:
    • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating steel fabrication machinery.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is preferred.
    • Skills:
    • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting various steel fabrication machines.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labour.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical training or certification in machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.
