Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and draft detailed plans for cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, and kitchens based on client specifications and project requirements.
  • Utilize design and drafting software to create technical drawings, layouts, and 3D renderings.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and production teams to ensure designs meet both functional and aesthetic goals.
  • Prepare accurate material lists, measurements, and specifications for production.
  • Revise and refine designs based on feedback or adjustments during the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on current trends in cabinetry, kitchen, and wardrobe design, incorporating innovative solutions into projects.
  • Ensure designs are completed on time and align with budget and quality standards.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Draftsperson, preferably in cabinetry, wardrobe, or kitchen design.
  • Proficiency in general design and drafting software (e.g., CabMaster, AutoCAD, Revit or similar).
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to visualize and create layouts that maximize both functionality and aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of renovation principles, especially for kitchens and bathrooms.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional 3D modeling tools or rendering software.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards and materials for cabinetry and renovations (if applicable).
  • Experience working with builders, renovators, or interior designers on similar projects.
