With a strong pipeline of current projects across civil infrastructure, road construction, bulk earthworks, water infrastructure and renewables, we are seeking an experienced Casual Dozer & Loader Operator to join our team for an immediate start for a job in Altona.

This opportunity would suit an experienced and reliable operator who can confidently operate dozers and loaders in a civil construction environment and is available to commence work ASAP.

What you will be doing day to day:

• Operate dozers and loaders across civil construction and earthworks projects.
• Undertake bulk earthworks, material handling, loading, stockpile management and site preparation.
• Carry out trimming, spreading and general earthmoving activities.
• Operate machinery safely, efficiently and productively.
• Work to site levels, plans and supervisor instructions.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and inspections.
• Identify and report equipment faults, hazards and site issues.
• Maintain a high standard of care and cleanliness of plant and equipment.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers and other plant operators.
• Assist the wider project team as required to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of safety, productivity and workmanship at all times.

What the ideal candidate looks like:

• White Card – Essential
• Demonstrated experience operating dozers and loaders in civil construction – Essential
• Relevant plant tickets and/or verified competencies.
• Experience in bulk earthworks, roadworks, subdivisions or civil infrastructure highly regarded.
• GPS machine control experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and productively with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of civil construction site requirements.
• Good awareness of levels, site conditions and surrounding plant movements.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Takes pride in machinery and the quality of their work.
• A proactive CAN DO attitude.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
• Available to commence ASAP.
