The Role

In this highly visible role, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships while driving both top-line performance and profitability. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen our market presence and deliver win-win outcomes for both our business and our customers. You will:

  • Take full ownership of Metcash, Emerging and Export accounts, delivering profitable sales growth
  • Manage customer P&L performance, ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships so customers see us as their partner of choice in category growth
  • Drive brand visibility, ranging, and distribution across in-store and online channels
  • Plan and execute promotional strategies, evaluating performance through ROI, uplift and market dynamics
  • Lead key initiatives including range reviews, tenders, and new product launches
  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category teams to deliver aligned, effective outcomes
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning for base, promotional, and NPD activity
  • Provide insights and performance analysis to support ongoing commercial decision-making

About You

You’re a relationship-driven and commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced OTC or FMCG environment. You’re confident owning conversations at a senior level and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Key or National Account Management role within FMCG or OTC
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L ownership and trade investment analysis
  • A proven ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving mutually beneficial outcomes
  • A sharp focus on execution excellence across retail environments
  • The ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A highly organised and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
