Description

Love the auto industry, but exhausted by 60+ hour weeks, endless stress, and missing out on life outside the dealership?

If you are a current or former General Sales Manager, General Manager, or Dealer Principal, you know the daily grind. You also know the frustration of watching perfectly good deals walk out the door whether a customer lacks traditional lending criteria, is feeling cost-of-living pressures, or is hesitant to commit upfront to new tech like Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). Every lost deal is missed revenue.

That is exactly what Karmo Connect solves.

Karmo Connect is a game-changing vehicle subscription model that gives dealerships a flexible alternative to selling traditional finance or outright purchases. It empowers dealers to capture those “missed opportunities” and turn them into recurring, long-term significant revenue streams.

As our State Dealer Channel Manager, you will leverage your high-level industry credibility to take this platform to market. You’ll sit down peer-to-peer with Dealer Principals and Group Business Managers, pitching our program and showing them how partnering with Karmo Connect directly boosts their bottom line.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

Working autonomously on a flexible hybrid schedule (splitting time between Karmo HQ in Brisbane CBD, working from home, and visiting dealerships on the road), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Network Expansion: Bringing regional dealer partners onto the Karmo Connect program and negotiating commercial procurement terms.
  • C-Suite Relationship Building: Meeting face-to-face with Dealer Principals and Group Business Managers to secure active buy-in during pilot and rollout phases.
  • Process & Operations Management: Overseeing dealership vehicle readiness—including detailing, tracker installations, branding, telematics integration, and ensuring strict Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) compliance.
  • Commercial Tailoring: Developing and presenting tailored commercial proposals and software demonstrations that align with dealer group strategies.
  • Scale & Strategy: Directly driving our strategic national goal of reaching 250 active End-of-Month (EOM) subscriptions by June 2027.
  • Customer Experience Excellence: Safeguarding platform loyalty and brand reputation by maintaining high customer satisfaction and Google review ratings.

🎯 What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a polished automotive leader who thrives on autonomy, operates with high integrity, and understands the inner workings of a dealership inside and out.

The Must-Haves

  • Deep Auto Industry Expertise: Proven background in dealership lead management, sales operations, and capturing lost revenue.
  • F&I Acumen: Strong understanding of Finance & Insurance department operations, allowing you to fluently navigate and overcome dealer objections around finance commissions.
  • B2B Sales Execution: Demonstrated track record in managing a B2B sales pipeline, presenting commercial pitches, and delivering software/platform demos to senior executive teams.
  • Resilience & Problem-Solving: The drive and persistence to navigate long sales cycles and handle initial pushback from busy decision-makers.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong proficiency in either Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Mobility: A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel regularly to regional dealerships.

Highly Desirable

  • Senior Leadership Experience: Previous hands-on experience as a General Sales Manager (GSM), General Manager (GM), or Dealer Principal (DP).
  • Industry Connections: An active “black book” of existing relationships with DPs and major Dealer Groups across Queensland to fast-track pilot partnerships.

🎁 What’s In It For You?

  • True Work-Life Balance: Escape the 7-day dealership grind while remaining a key player in the automotive space.
  • Competitive Salary Package: Generous base + Super.
  • Full Fleet Perks: Fully Maintained Vehicle + Fuel Card + Toll Tag (T&Cs apply).
  • Weekly Phone Allowance.
  • Prime Base Location: Modern Brisbane CBD office with work-from-home / remote flexibility.
  • Great Benefits: Paid Parental Leave & Family Subscription Discounts.
  • Strategic Impact: Take total ownership of a major channel growth strategy during a critical national scaling phase.
  • Culture: Join a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership team dedicated to innovation, progress, and mutual success.
