JMC Academy is undergoing a significant data and technology transformation — migrating our CRM to HubSpot, building a Microsoft Fabric data-lake, and embedding AI-driven decision making using Claude etc. We need the analyst who will turn that infrastructure into intelligence.

Role Summary
The Data & Performance Analyst is the data engine of JMC Academy’s Customer Division — providing the intelligence that drives performance across marketing, sales, admissions, onboarding, product, pricing, industry partnerships and alumni engagement.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, digital analytics and performance marketing. You will manage data pipelines into our Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse, maintain CRM data quality in HubSpot, build Power BI dashboards, integrate external demand and market intelligence, drive digital channel performance, and help the entire Customer function make faster, smarter decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Infrastructure and Management
- Manage and develop JMC’s Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse — building and maintaining pipelines from Dynamics ERP, Paradigm SMS, Canvas LMS and HubSpot CRM
- Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform and load data across JMC’s systems and third-party sources
- Manage HubSpot CRM data quality including configuration, segmentation, hygiene and system integrations
External and Third-Party Data Analysis
- Consume, process and analyse data from VTAC, UAC and QTAC to understand student demand, application volumes and competitive positioning
- Analyse Department of Education and TEQSA datasets to monitor sector trends and competitive dynamics
- Integrate and leverage Burning Glass/Lightcast and LinkedIn Talent Insights to inform course relevance and graduate employability
Digital Channel Analytics and Performance
- Own digital analytics across GA4, HubSpot, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and Microsoft Ads
- Monitor website performance, lead generation, conversion rates and campaign attribution
- Utilise DSP, DMP and CRM data to build automated campaign journeys and precision audience targeting
Performance Reporting and Dashboards
- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards covering the full customer journey from lead to enrolment
- Produce regular performance reports for the CCO and marketing leadership
- Develop team-specific dashboards for Marketing, Sales, Admissions, Outreach and Onboarding
- AI-Driven Decision Making
- Embed Claude as an active tool for data analysis and decision support across the Customer function
- Champion a data-driven culture making data accessible and actionable for all team members
Cross-Functional Support Provide analytics support for Marketing, Sales and Admissions, Onboarding, School and Agent Outreach, Product/Pricing/Profile Planning, and Industry Partnerships and Alumni Engagement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, digital performance or marketing technology
- Strong SQL skills — able to write and maintain queries without assistance
- HubSpot CRM experience including configuration, data management and workflow automation
- Microsoft Fabric or equivalent data lakehouse experience (Azure Data Factory or Synapse considered)
- Power BI proficiency including DAX, dashboard design and multi-source data modelling
- Digital analytics experience across GA4, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
- Experience with DSP/DMP/CRM data integration for audience targeting and automated campaigns
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights for non-technical stakeholders
Highly regarded:
- Experience with VTAC, UAC or QTAC tertiary admissions data
- Knowledge of Department of Education, TEQSA or QILT data frameworks
- Experience with Burning Glass/Lightcast or LinkedIn Talent Insights
- Familiarity with Paradigm SMS, Canvas LMS or Microsoft Dynamics ERP
- Experience using AI tools including Claude or ChatGPT for analytics workflows
- Python or R for advanced analysis and automation
