JewishCare is a leading, child-safe social services organisation supporting the resilience and independence of individuals and families across the NSW community.

We are seeking an experienced Caseworker to join our Community Services & Engagement team on a 6-month part-time fixed-term contract (2 days per week). This role is ideal for a qualified professional seeking meaningful, flexible work within a values-driven organisation.

About the role

You will work closely with individuals and families to assess eligibility for practical and financial assistance and deliver high-quality, person-centred case management. Using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice, you will support clients with complex needs to achieve improved wellbeing, independence and stability.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive case management and care planning
  • Undertake comprehensive client assessments
  • Assess and manage risk, including child protection, family violence, suicide ideation and self-harm
  • Conduct financial assessments in line with organisational procedures
  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential client documentation
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology (eligible for registration)
  • Demonstrated casework experience with individuals and families
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
  • Experience managing complex client risk and mandatory reporting obligations
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and community resource
  • Experience in one or more of the following; mental health, disability, aged care, child & family services

Desirable

  • Russian or Hebrew language skills
  • Understanding and sensitivity of Jewish Culture and Values
