Description
At JEM, we’re looking for a relationship-driven Junior Account Manager to join our Sales team. This is an entry level role designed for someone early in their sales career who wants to build long-term client relationships in the Managed IT Services industry.
You’ll work alongside experienced account managers and internal teams, learning the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to contract renewal. Over time, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, with training and mentoring provided in the areas that matter most, including sales tactics and methodologies, sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account budgeting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Support and progressively manage the sales cycle, from lead generation through to contract renewal.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business.
- Attend and, with training, run client meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Learn to prepare sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
- Provide proactive after-sales support and help resolve client issues.
- Build your understanding of industry trends and market developments.
About You
You’ll be a proactive and customer-focused person who enjoys building relationships, asks good questions, and wants to learn. You don’t need to have done all of this before. You do need the attitude to pick it up quickly.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or a similar client-facing role.
- A basic understanding of the Managed IT Services industry, or a genuine interest in building one.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Exposure to CRM platforms (such as Salesforce or HubSpot) and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining good attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn account planning, forecasting, and budgeting on the job.
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in a professional services or technology environment.
Why Join JEM?
- You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values strong relationships, professional growth, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
- Structured training and mentoring to help you grow into a full Account Manager role.
- A commission structure that rewards results.
- The opportunity to build long-term partnerships and make a real impact on the business.
