The Role:
We’re looking for a Collections Specialist who thrives on solving problems, supporting customers, and making an impact when it matters most. This person will take ownership of customer interactions across the collections journey, working closely with customers to find practical, sustainable repayment solutions while delivering a supportive and positive experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage inbound and outbound customer interactions across phone and email
- Review and action daily reports related to accounts, payments, and collections
- Work with customers to create tailored, realistic repayment plans
- Provide empathetic support to customers experiencing financial hardship
- Follow up on payment arrangements and variations to ensure successful outcomes
- Collaborate with Hardship & Insolvency and Resolution teams to support customers end-to-end
- Deliver clear, professional, and customer-first communication at every touchpoint
- Meet KPIs across productivity, quality, and customer outcomes
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, systems, and the overall customer experience
- Stay aligned through team updates, training, and continuous learning
You’ll thrive here if you have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a collections role
- Take ownership and back your judgment in customer conversations
- Care about doing the right thing for customers while balancing commercial outcomes
- Communicate clearly, confidently, and with empathy
- Are resilient, adaptable, and solutions-focused in challenging situations
- Build trust quickly and handle difficult conversations with professionalism
- Continuously look for ways to improve how things are done
