About the Team
This team specialises in helping clients make big decisions about their financial world whether its complex or a day-to-day compliance need. The team works largely with active business clients including:
• Micro entrepreneurial startups to set their business structure and ensure compliance for success.
• Multi nationals with varying size and complexity of operations in Australia ensuring efficient international tax and transfer pricing management.
• Complex family and business groups optimising funding and tax structures.
• Emerging growth companies scaling with strategic planning, process efficiencies and mergers and acquisitions support.
• Succession planning through ESOPs, restructuring, and understanding the market value of the business wealth that has been created.
About the Role
InCorp Advisory is looking for a Senior Accountant (Consultant) to join our growing Tax and Advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients across a range of industries. They will be expected to have a deep understanding of business operations and be able to provide strategic solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting in-depth tax analysis of client operations and identifying areas for improvement
• Preparing client tax compliance deliverables, including tax returns, business activity statements and financial statements for a variety of entities.
• Liaising with clients and taking ownership of a portfolio of clients
• Support manager and partner to develop and implement strategic plans to address client tax needs.
• Growing in the ability to independently provide expert advice and guidance to clients on a range of tax business issues.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and role modelling firm values
• Managing workflow ensuring project deliverables are met on time.
• Conducting research and staying up to date with industry trends, legislation changes and best practices
• Taking responsibility for self-development with the support of firm’s resources.
• Developing and delivering presentations to clients and other stakeholders
• Opportunity to mentor junior staff and review their work
About you:
• 5+ years’ experience in a consulting role across a mid-tier accounting firm
• Ideally CA/CPA qualified otherwise nearing completion.
• Demonstrated high performance as senior accountant.
• Excellent client service skills
• Desirable to have managed a diverse client portfolio.
• Experience in tax compliance, tax planning, complex group structures and CGT advice and ideally international cross border tax experience.
• A growth and curious mindset enabling understanding of the full needs of clients.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success in developing the skills of those around them.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A genuine care for people.
