Purpose of the position
The Allied Health Manager is responsible for people management in their dedicated hubs. Hubs will consist of interdisciplinary team members, including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners and Allied Health Assistants. The Allied Health Team Manager is integral in driving interdisciplinary practice, team culture and cohesion, team performance and team satisfaction and wellbeing.
Responsibilities and duties
Responsibility 1 – Support interdisciplinary team members at dedicated hub to meet business objectives.
Work standard:

- Achieve individual key performance indicators, including but not limited to billable hours for clinical Allied Health Team Managers and project participation for non-clinical Allied Health Team Manager
- Achieve team key performance indicators, including but not limited to billable hours, retention
- Synthesise and report weekly and monthly key metrics
- Manage team member schedules, leave, and professional development allowance planning

- Complete monthly progress reviews inclusive of timely feedback and goal setting in line with team members’ career

- Identify and conduct performance management process with team members as required
- Trigger team members’ performance/annual reviews and provide rationale for triggers to direct report
- Manage risks, complaints, and feedback at dedicated hub
- Support HR team to identify gaps in team and participate in recruitment and interviewing of new team members
- Liaise with Clinical Excellence Team and Learning and Development Lead to identify areas of support and education needs for team as a whole and individual members
Responsibility 2 – Support interdisciplinary team members to develop skills and participate in hub culture
Work standard:
•
Day to day support for team, including but not limited to wellbeing, calendar management, time management, information management and other soft skills development
•
Drive positive hub culture through social event planning, shout outs and celebrating team member successes as well as fostering interdisciplinary team practices such as support planning, collaborative case and referral reviews to ensure continuity of care and cross-referrals
•
Support new starters in their induction to Ignite Healthcare, including but not limited to arrangement of shadowing opportunities and collaborative calendar set up
•
Identify and harness skills in team members to promote skill development of broader team
•
Promote person-centred practice and equitable access to information
•
Ensure privacy and dignity of participants is maintained through team quality client management

Maintain staff and participant safety within hub environment
Responsibility 3 – Promote business development objectives
Work standard:

Participate in planning and implementation of community-based education and presentations
•
Participate in networking events to drive referrals and recruitment in dedicated hub

Attend expos and conferences as required
•
Collaborate with stakeholders
•
Work with Regional Manager to facilitate services/meet demand

Maintain employee retention rate of 85% +

Deliver quarterly team revenue targets

Minimise dedicated hub risks, incidents, and complaint to less than 10 per quarter
