About the role:       

This role is about leading from the front, creating a culture where staff feel supported, accountable and motivated to perform to a high level. You’ll coach and develop your team, manage performance when required and champion safe work practices and ensure every shift operates effectively.

We’re looking for someone with proven leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills and the confident to lead teams.

Your responsibilities will be but are not limited to:

  • Lead the night shift production team to achieve operational KPIs across safety, quality, performance, yield, waste and engagement
  • Coach, develop and empower your team to build capability and create a high performing team
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise downtime and resolve production issues
  • Lead and champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, QA and site standards
  • Conducting toolbox meetings and shift handovers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor that support future business growth
  • Analyse operational performance and provide reports and recommendations to management for process improvements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

 About you:

To succeed in the role, you will require:

  • Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment (FMCG or similar high-speed environment is ideal), with accountability for people, safety and performance outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead from the front and develop your team
  • Strong knowledge of WHS, quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Experience coordinating labour, equipment and production schedules
  • Resilience, adaptability and the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
