HDS is one of Australia’s fastest-growing logistics providers, supporting major retail and consumer brands nationwide. Following a new client win at our Morningside depot, we have multiple Picker/Packer positions available and we’re looking for motivated people to join our growing Brisbane team. These are casual roles with a genuine pathway to full-time employment for the right candidates.
The Opportunity:
As a Picker/Packer at our Morningside depot, you’ll be working in a cold storage environment picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently as part of a busy, team-focused operation. Prior warehouse or pick/pack experience is highly regarded, but this is an entry-level role and we’re genuinely open to candidates with minimal or no experience who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick SKUs accurately from the cold room (0–5°C) using an iPad-based packer app to process and confirm each order
- Build delivery boxes to specification, add ice or cool inserts, seal and label to spec for dispatch
- Work accurately to pick KPIs and ensure all packed orders meet quality standards prior to dispatch
- Work collaboratively as part of the team to maintain a smooth, efficient pack line and meet daily throughput targets
- Identify and report any damaged, missing, or incorrect stock and maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Support general warehouse duties as directed by your team leader
You’ll Bring:
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine willingness to learn – prior experience is
highly regarded but not essential
- Reliable, punctual attendance – these are early starts and consistency is key
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks including lifting up to 20kg
- Comfortable working in cold conditions – appropriate PPE and cold-weather gear provided
- A team-first attitude and commitment to safe work practices
