Accounts Receivable & Payable Officer 

Brisbane | QLD 

About the Role 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Payable Officer to join our Brisbane Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely processing of customer and supplier transactions. This hands-on position combines accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, reporting, credit management and stakeholder support. Working closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers, you’ll help drive efficiency, accuracy and operational excellence across the finance function.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, credit notes and collections.  
  • Complete account, bank, debtor, creditor and balance sheet reconciliations.  
  • Manage customer and supplier accounts, queries, credit applications and account setups.  
  • Prepare financial reports, banking reports and aged debtors reporting.  
  • Support month-end processes, audits and ongoing finance administration activities.  

 

About You 

You are an organised and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With previous experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable or a similar finance role, you understand the importance of accuracy, efficiency and strong stakeholder relationships. You take pride in managing competing priorities, solving problems and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.  

 

You Will Bring 

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable or a similar finance position.  
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoicing and reconciliations.  
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.  
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive customer and supplier relationships.  
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, dispute resolution and continuous improvement.
