Final Trim GPS Excavator Operator

We are enjoying continued growth and are now seeking skilled and experienced GPS Final Trim Excavator Operators to join our building and construction team in Brisbane, Queensland.

As a GPS Final Trim Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators equipped with GPS technology (Trimble Earthworks) to perform various detailed tasks related to excavation and earthmoving.

About You:

• Proficiency in operating excavators equipped with GPS technology
• Strong knowledge of excavation techniques and earthmoving procedures
• Ability to interpret construction plans, blueprints, and survey data
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Physical stamina for prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators equipped with GPS technology according to project requirements
• Safely maneuver the equipment in confined spaces while adhering to all safety protocols
• Perform precise excavation tasks based on provided survey data or coordinates
• Monitor machine performance indicators such as fuel consumption and hydraulic pressure levels
• Regularly inspect equipment for any malfunctions or damage; report issues promptly for repairs/maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine before, during, and after operation
• Collaborate effectively with team members including supervisors, engineers,and ground crew workers
• Follow project schedules closely; complete assigned tasks within specified deadlines
• Assist in other general labour duties when not operating machinery

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Final Trim GPS Excavator Operator
• Certification or license as an excavator operator is mandatory
• Knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations within the building & construction industry
• -Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills; ability to follow instructions accurately
• A valid driver’s license is required
