Senior Project Engineer

Due to recent growth, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a driven Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join our leadership team, overseeing projects from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the SPE will be responsible for:

• Providing engineering and project management support onsite to supervisory and project staff to deliver successful execution of multiple projects
• Developing cost effective engineering solutions; working collaboratively with the Hawthorne Civil team and clients
• Managing and monitoring progress and performance against safety, time, cost, and quality targets to achieve successful outcomes
• Monthly forecasting of time and cost outcomes at project completion
• Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers, along with plant, equipment, and material across multiple projects
• Undertaking inspections of temporary works and pre-pour inspections
• Preparing monthly financial and progress reports

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, RPEQ a bonus
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry – TMR and RMS structures highly desirable
• Demonstrable experience in project engineering, including the development of program of works, cost tracking and forecasting
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and implementation
• Excellent client relationship management
• A straight shooter with excellent problem solving capability
