Want to do recruitment differently?

Hartecs Group is a growing engineering consultancy delivering civil and structural engineering, project management and infrastructure solutions across Queensland. We’re a people-focused business that values trust, ingenuity and doing things the right way – and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of our next stage of growth.

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition & People & Culture Coordinator to take ownership of how we attract, recruit and onboard great people.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be handed a list of tasks and told how to spend your day.

You’ll have the autonomy and flexibility to make the role your own.

What you’ll be doing

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process across Hartecs
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand current and future talent needs
  • Source and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, maintaining talent pools, SEEK and proactive approaches
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews and support effective selection
  • Manage references, pre-employment checks, offers and contracts

Talent Pipelines & Employer Brand

  • Build and maintain proactive talent pools for key engineering and infrastructure roles
  • Develop relationships with passive candidates, graduates and early-career professionals
  • Build connections with universities, professional bodies and industry networks
  • Contribute to employer branding, social media and attraction initiatives

People & Culture

  • Coordinate engaging, professional onboarding experiences for new employees (Using our HRIS, Employment Hero)
  • Support offboarding and exit processes
  • Contribute to employee experience, engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track and report on recruitment and employee lifecycle metrics

Workforce & Payroll Support

  • Work with leadership to identify future workforce requirements and recruitment strategies
  • Monitor recruitment trends and talent market conditions
  • Support weekly timesheet processes and fortnightly payroll administration

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has (ideally) 2+ years’ experience in talent acquisition or recruitment
  • Has (ideally) recruited within civil construction, engineering or infrastructure
  • Knows how to find and engage passive candidates
  • Is confident using LinkedIn Recruiter and SEEK Talent Search
  • Is proactive, organised and comfortable working autonomously
  • Experience with Employment Hero (highly regarded)
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and bringing new ideas to life
