About the Role

We are seeking for a Business Analytics Practice Lead to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will responsible for providing day to day management and leadership across the business analyst function ensuring sufficient BA capability and leading the use of best practices across staff, processes and tools to drive an efficient and high performing team with quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Business Analysis Team, allocating responsibilities as appropriate.
• Manage team performance ensuring clear expectations are set and appropriate performance and development plans are agreed and actioned.
• Embeds business analysts directly into the product domain teams so analysis happens at the point of delivery.
• Provide expert advice to projects and key business stakeholders regarding best practice and fit-for-purpose analysis approaches including end user and technical documentation.
• Keep informed of industry business processes and legislative requirements that may influence or impact software products, ensuring HAMBS is represented at Industry meetings and outcomes are reported to key stakeholders.
• Influence industry on business processes to meet HAMBS business requirements.
• Facilitate and hold discussions with internal and external customers regarding potential software solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or relevant experience (essential).
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and co-ordinating the work of a team in all aspects of business analysis to success outcomes.
• Extensive experience across the software development lifecycle – including business analysis, business process mapping, and the documentation of business requirements.
• Proven understanding of good business analysis practice, standards and methodologies.
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills, able to translate complex technical information to plain English, and develop high-quality documentation.
• Interpersonal skills e.g. negotiation and influencing skills, which can be applied at senior levels of the organisation or with external stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organisational skills: able to plan, manage and follow through, ensures the best flow and completion of activities that deliver project results, on time, to specification and within budget (desirable).
• Experience working in a development environment that follows the Agile development methodology (desirable).
