About the Role

As a Defects Foreman at Gardner Vaughan Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the identification, documentation, and resolution of defects in our construction projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify and document defects
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to address and resolve defects in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed records of defects, their status, and resolution processes
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to prevent defects and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on defect prevention and resolution

Qualifications and Skills

  • Trade IV Cert
  • Proven experience in defect management within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • QBCC Open Site Supervisor Licence
  • Construction White Card
