We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Sydney. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in accountancy, contributing to the financial health and strategic direction of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
