We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic People & Culture Trainee to join our growing People & Culture team. This hands-on traineeship provides practical experience across all aspects of the employee lifecycle while supporting you to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in HR.
Working alongside experienced HR professionals, you’ll gain valuable exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee records, workplace compliance, and a variety of People & Culture initiatives.
About the Role
- Assist with recruitment, including preparing job advertisements and coordinating interviews.
- Support the onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR databases.
- Respond to general People & Culture enquiries.
- Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
- Participate in interviews and recruitment activities.
- Assist with People & Culture projects and organisational initiatives.
- Learn about employment legislation, workplace relations and HR best practice.
Essential Criteria:
- Currently studying or recently completed Certificate IV or above in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous administration or office experience.
- Passionate about starting a career in Human Resources.
- Friendly, professional and eager to learn.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Has an understanding of, and commitment to, Aboriginal communities and culturally safe practice.

Employment Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to provide:
- Currently studying or recently completed a Certificate IV or above in Human Resources,
Business Administration or a related field
- Confirmation of Aboriginality
- Current Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
